28 Weeks - Baby #2

It is hard to believe that I am in my third trimester and only 3 months away from meeting Good baby #2...I guess we need to start deciding on names and getting the nursery ready, huh?! Other than a bad cold, I have been feeling great this past month. This baby moves around way more than Sam did...I think we have a jumper in there! Everything looked good at my recent doctor visit. I did have to do the 3 hour glucose test but thankfully all of the results were normal and I am continuing to have a healthy pregnancy. The doctor reminded me at this visit that I now go every two weeks for a check-up. Full steam ahead!

Easter

Sam is at a better age to understand and appreciate Easter this year. We tried to talk a little about the Easter Bunny...but most of all the real reason for Easter which Sam can tell you is "all about God's son". Sam talked about Easter like it was a person..."we are going to see Easter" which is cute, but hard to explain to a two year old. We went to church and then came home for Sam to hunt for his Easter basket. There were mostly toys in it but a few pieces of chocolate too. We spent the afternoon at my sister's house where he got to do his first egg hunt. It was a nice day spent with family.

Alaska Cousins

This past weekend we got to spend time with Luke's brother's wife, Kim, and their kids William (almost 4) and Julia (2...1 month older than Sam). Sam was really excited to visit with them and they played really well together. We only get to see them about once a year because they live in Alaska so we tried to get in as much play time as we could. We loved spending time with them!Sam pushing William

Zoo in the Spring

We got free passes to the zoo so Luke took a 1/2 vacation day at work and we spent Friday afternoon enjoying the sun and all of the animals. Sam was so well behaved and walked very well with us and even asked to ride in his stroller a few times. His favorite animals were the penguins...which of course is the busiest exhibit in the whole zoo! He squealed with delight as they raced by him underwater. He also did the slides for the first time and would have spent the whole afternoon there if we would have let him.

24 Weeks - Baby #2

Just like my first pregnancy with Sam, now that the morning sickness is gone...I feel wonderful! I am a little more tired this time around...but I am chasing a toddler around (and picking him up) all day so that is to be expected I guess. The baby is moving a lot these days and Luke has been able to feel the baby kick for a few weeks now. Sam is still kinda "whatever" about the baby...we talk about it and he knows it is in my belly...but that is about it. I am sure these last 16 weeks will go quickly with spring and summer on the way. There is a lot to do to make the office into a nursery!

For the Love of Thomas

I got this ride-on Thomas at our MOPS Kids Sale for $2.50. This has to be the toy (and bargain) of the year! It even plays the Thomas theme song and makes train sounds! Sam was beside himself...he sat on that toy all night!

Deep Creek 2010

This past week we enjoyed our annual ski vacation with my family. I, of course, couldn't ski because of the pregnancy but it was nice to be somewhere else than home for a few days. We went hiking on snowy trails twice, celebrated my dad's birthday, ate so much food and had a family pool tournament. Sam loved all of the time with his family...especially his cousins! I am already looking forward to next year when I can get out on the slopes again...and this time with Sam who we are hoping to teach to ski next year!
