Lego Fest 2012

This year we went to Lego Fest with some friends.  It was the first time we have ever been there and really the first year that Sam has really been into Legos.  It was SO fun...even for us parents!  Sam is already talking about going again next year :)

Halloween 2012

We had our very own Diego and Lightning McQueen this Halloween.  The boys walked in the town parade, trick-or-treated at the local businesses and then got more candy on Halloween night visiting the houses in our neighborhood.  Levi was a big boy this year and wanted to do everything on his own (up stairs, pick candy, say thank you, down stairs, etc.)  A fun year!

Sam Reads/Levi Sings

These videos of both of the boys are so cute.  I wanted to post so that I could remember their little voices...also it gives and you an idea of what the boys are into.

Sam loves to read and loves learning about planets and weather.  He is really into science right now.

Levi loves to sing songs and he is coming along with his talking.

Pittsburgh Day

Luke's brother and his lovely girlfriend visited us a couple of weekends ago and we went to Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs, then to Fuel and Fuddle for lunch with a quick visit to some of my favorite places on Pitt's campus.  Loved my 4 years at Pitt...always a Pitt girl at heart!

Fox/Wainwright Visit

We had a mini McKee Girls reunion a few weeks ago!  Beth was visiting from Texas and Becky drove in from Philly.  Beth and I got to visit the Children's Museum with our families and then we had a big playdate at my house with Becky and her boys.  8 boys under 5...and they all played well together!

Late Summer Camping (Take Two)

So for someone who really doesn't love to camp...I am sure not getting any help from the weather.  We tried to redeem the Good Family Camping Trip with a late summer trip to Pymie again.  This time the weather scared us off and but then we got a nice full day of camping in (after hiding out at Grandma/Grandpa's for Friday night).  If nothing else, I say this proves my love for my sweet hubby who loves to camp.  I am trying honey! :)

Sam loves to Sing

He did this set up all on his own and was singing super loud.  So cute!

Sam's 1st Swim Lessons

Sam took his first of swim lessons this summer at our local pool (same pool where I took lessons).  The teachers were wonderful and really helped him over his fear of water...basically getting his face wet and being in the "big kid pool".  They practiced kicking with a kickboard, practicing their arm strokes and jumping off of the island and going under water.  Sam loved them and is talking about taking more lessons this winter at the indoor pool.

Visit from Florida Friends

Luke and Adam go way back to their days at Penn State!  We flew to Florida to watch him marry his beautiful bride Monica and the drove back a couple years later to meet their first girlie Jane.  Then they made a trip to visit us in Pittsburgh after that.  Even though it was our turn to visit, they came to us this summer and now there were two more kiddos in our families to meet.  Our kids loved each other and we wished that we lived closer...but I think we would have to move to Florida (our Colorado) for that to happen!

Myrtle Beach 2012

Seems like I have a lot of catching up to do on my blog.  Hope people are still reading! :)

We took a family vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC this past summer with my parents and my nephew Nik.  The  kids were the perfect age for a beach vacation and we had a wonderful time!
