3 Year Stats for Sam

Sam went to his three year old check up today (only 2 months late). He got a clean bill of health, got his blood pressure taken (a first!) and was given one shot. He looks so grown up to me and I just can't help but wonder where my little boy has gone! He now weighs 34 lbs and measures 36.5 inches long.

Sam loves to read books and watch Diego and Thomas shows on TV. His favorite character is still Thomas and he has lots of trains and knows all of their names (and their jobs). He loves to sing church songs and talks non-stop when we are in the car. He knows his letters, numbers and colors and we are now starting to write letters. The other day he drew a "person" on the chalkboard all by himself. He is such a funny, bright child and every day is an adventure with him.

BEFORE

I finally decided it was time to get Levi's hair cut. He had the most beautiful, crazy hair but it was getting to be a little too wild for my taste :) I almost cried when he was done...he looks SO grown up and almost like a different child! Still SO cute!

AFTER

Last week I tried to give Levi a puff to see if he was ready for them...he wasn't! He gagged and made awful faces...not to mention that he couldn't even get them in his mouth. Guess we will try again in a few weeks. I caught it on film though and we got some really cute pictures of my little man!

Sewing Projects

A friend of my mom's gave me some extra fabric and I have been trying to think of creative ways to use it. So far I have made a cloth napkin for Sam (I plan to make a bunch more) and a throw pillow for him at his request. All really simple to make too! I also made another crayon roll for a friend from high school. I love the fabric that I found! I might start selling them on Etsy at some point.
