Fish!

This past weekend we spent a few days in Greenville with Luke's family. They live out in the country so we got to have a campfire (smores!) and Luke and Sam spent the night in our tent. I was worried that Sam would be wondering around the yard in the middle of the night, but he did just fine and slept all night! We also took a trip to the Linesville Spillway...the infamous place where the ducks walk on the fish! Sam loved seeing all of the fish and ducks fighting over the bread and we gave them at least 4 loaves of bread to eat. Levi slept the whole time and missed the whole thing!

Levi - 2 Month Check Up

Levi got a clean bill of health yesterday at the doctor's office and he commented on what a big boy he is! Here are his 2 month stats:

13 lbs, 11 oz.
24 in.

At 2 months Sam was 11 lbs. Quite a difference, huh?! Levi is wearing 3 month clothes and some 3-6 month stuff. I think he is close to laughing...today I had him making some cute loud noises. Here are some new pics...and finally a good smile picture!

Oh Sam!

The other day I was putting Sam down for his nap and he asked me, "Are you my girlfriend?" It was such a sweet moment. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Someday when he is a teenager and all girl crazy I will remind him that I was the first girl to ever love him...and that I always will. (I couldn't even type that last sentence without crying!)

Levi - 2 Months

Levi is two months old today and the time is flying by. First of all, he is a big boy. His cheeks might not be as chubby as Sam's was at this age...but he is wearing outfits now that Sam wore when he was 4-5 months old! He is a happy baby and gives us lots of smiles as coos. He is still nursing every two hours but has a few longer stretches at night, so I only have to get up twice with him, but then he goes right back to sleep. He loves car rides, being outside, his swing and his big brother. He hates tummy time and being hungry! We just love our little man and all of the time we get to spend kissing and cuddling him...we know how fast the time goes!

Say Cheese!

Finally...not too bad!

It is hard to get a good picture of your two kiddos, especially when your toddler knows just when the camera is going to take a picture and closes his eyes...on purpose! Also, Sam can't tell the difference between when I am videotaping and taking a picture...so funny!

Levi Smiles

The beginning of a smile...

Yesterday Levi smiled at me for the first time. It was really only a half smile and boy did he make me work for it! But this morning my boy was in such a great mood and I got lots of smiles and coos from him...what a beautiful sight! Sam and I tried to capture it with video and pictures...and we were only kinda successful but you get the idea. It's like yesterday he was a newborn and today he is an alert infant...amazing! One of the best parts of the video is you can hear Sam's sweet little voice as he talks to Levi!

Myrtle Beach 2010

My parents rented a condo and graciously invited our family and my niece and nephews to join them for a week at Myrtle Beach, SC. Both boys were very well behaved on the trip down and back...but it was still a long ride! Once we got there, we had a great time playing in the sand and the waves. It took Sam awhile to like the water but pretty soon he was "fighting" the waves and riding them on his "jet ski" and boogie board. Levi liked being on the beach too...but only for a few hours as it was really hot that week. Every night we went out and did something fun. Sam LOVED playing mini-golf and was actually really good at it. We couldn't believe some of the putts that he made! Levi slept in the baby bjorn the whole time...and I even came in second golfing one-handed carrying a baby in front! The other nights we spent shopping and eating out. It was really fun to watch our boys interact with their cousins who just showered them with love and attention. We really are very lucky to have such a great family! Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful vacation...we love you!
